Although Brad and Angie’s promise of help for the country in which Shiloh was born was considered to be a lie by many, the Namibian government has come out and said that not only has the money been delivered, but that it was in process for months
The money has already been transferred to the Red Cross.
Red Cross Acting Secretary General Shannon Shroeder said in a statement that the allegations were not true, and that international monetary and tax regulations had been responsible for holding up the promised assistance.
One of the main donations is a sum of N$2 million donated by the couple for the purchase of new equipment to upgrade the maternity sections of the Walvis Bay and Swakopmund State hospitals.
“The Namibia Red Cross signed an agreement with the American Red Cross (acting on behalf of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation) for a transfer of funds between the two National Societies.
Looks like some good news for Angie and Brad, as they’ll finally get to see the people of Namibia have better hospital conditions. I’m sure this will get MUCH less attention than when they were first accused of not intending to follow through with the aid they promised.
Angelina Jolie, and daughter, Zahara, 2, watched some of the Mardi Gras celebrations from the balcony of their house in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
You may remember that, a while back, Angelina Jolie came out saying that adoptive parents are more fit to raise their kids than biological parents. A new study published in the American Sociological Review appears to support her contention. The study found that adoptive parents spend more money on their kids, read to them more, are more likely to eat together, and even discuss their problems more.
“One of the reasons adoptive parents invest more is that they really want children, and they go to extraordinary means to have them,” says Indiana University sociologist Brian Powell, one of the study’s authors. “Adoptive parents face a culture where, to many other people, adoption is not real parenthood,” Powell added. “What they’re trying to do is compensate. … They recognize the barriers they face, and it sets the stage for them to be better parents.”
Adam Pertman, executive director of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, was appreciative of the study’s findings, but noted that “there are all sorts of families that are good for kids. Adoptive parents aren’t less good or better. They just bring different benefits to the table. In terms of how families are formed, it should be a level playing field.”
I think that parents — biological, adoptive, or any other sort — are the most important part of a child’s world. How they became parents, the struggles they faced, and any other facets of the parenting adventure are simply the flavors and spices that make each family unique. The important part — the meat and potatoes — is the love that families share.

Many pundits and celebrity watchers alike believed that the only reason that Angelina Jolie resided in the United States most of the time was because she couldn’t bear to be away from her mother for too long. With the passing of Marcheline Bertrand is there anything now keeping Angelina and the unmarried father of her children Brad Pitt and the rest of the family here in America?
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt to Move Out of the US?
Likely - no. Even though they just purchased a home in New Orleans Jolie may feel it is time that the globe-trotting United Nations loving couple pack up and leave permanently only returning for visits to Brad’s parents. A report from Star Pulse seems to suggest that the family is on their way out.
The news blog reports that Angelina and Brad have indeed taken a step closer to moving to Europe permanently by buying an apartment in Berlin, Germany. The couple has been regular visitors to the German capital and has now taken ownership of a luxury 6,500 square-foot attic flat in what used to be East Berlin, according to the German edition of Vanity Fair.

If America had its way, Valentine’s Day cards from two of the most influential Hollywood stars would be in your mailbox come Valentine’s Day. The documentary Angelina Jolie’s late mother Marcheline Bertrand executive produced before her death last month is to be rush released on DVD as a tribute to the actress.
Trudell follows the lifestory of Native American poet and activist John Trudell, who famously burned an American Flag on the steps of the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, while protesting the US government’s policy on American Indians in 1979.
Following the protest, Trudell’s pregnant wife and three children were killed in a suspicious arson fire on a Nevada reservation.
The activist then spent the next four years driving across America in a car given to him by his friend and fellow activist Jackson Browne, honing his craft as a poet. He released a protest album with Browne in 1983.
The film, which won acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival, features interviews and tributes from Val Kilmer, Robert Redford and Kris Kristofferson, among others.
Meanwhile, Jolie, who is also credited as an executive producer on the film, was so touched by Trudell’s story she agreed to help produce his current album, Bone Days.
As you all know Angelina’s mother has past away. (R.I.P) For respect of Angelina and the family we shall not post any pictures, news, links, ect of the subject. We hope you all understand!

Angelina Jolie is more desirable then Jennifer Aniston, according to an AskMen.com poll. In the ongoing battle of who is better looking or desirable, Angelina Jolie defeats Jennifer Aniston in this round.
The Top 99 is an annual list compiled by the readers and staff of AskMen.com, ranking the famous females deemed to be the year’s most alluring.
Since the first edition launched in 2001, more than 40 million readers have checked out AskMen.com’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women lists.
The voting process for this year’s edition of the Most Desirable Women list began reportedly in the fall of 2006, when a list of approximately 200 candidates was assembled. AskMen.com readers voted for their favorite nominees, and the website reports that they responded on a massive scale: More than 8.5 million votes were cast over a six week period.
Jolie was voted in the top 10 while Aniston made the top 25.
An explanation as to why Britney Spears’ name is nowhere to be found on the 2007 Top 99 seems a bit unnecessary. Her excessive partying, panty-less paparazzi shots and trailer-park inspired getups, have catapulted Britney off the list, says the website.
Beyonce Knowles was voted the Most Desirable Woman of 2007. Screen siren Scarlett Johansson jumped from 28th place to second this year, while last year’s winner Jessica Alba finished third.
Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima and actress Jessica Biel also made the top five.
Rounding out the top 10 were Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, singer Shakira, TV host Maria Menounos, Angelina Jolie - who slipped from third to ninth place this year - and ‘24′ star Elisha Cuthbert.
More than 8.5 million votes were cast in a poll to find the woman who best embodies the qualities of a “fantasy girlfriend”.

3. Jessica Alba

Angelina Jolie has lavished praise on single mothers, insisting she wouldn’t be able to cope without the support of boyfriend Brad Pitt and their crew of hired help.
The Oscar winner has two adopted children with Pitt - Maddox, five, and Zahara, two - as well as their biological daughter Shiloh, who was born in May.
She says, “Well, we have the finances to have support, and that’s the truth of it. Any single woman on her own with kids… God bless her, because that is hard. I have Brad helping me and we have a lot of people, even just at airports, helping us get through. We do have a lot of support, so we’re very lucky.”
Angelina Jolie has reportedly decided that she now wants to star in a James Bond movie - playing either an evil villain or the first female Bond superspy.
If you recall, Angelina Jolie was considered for the role of Casino Royale Bond girl Vesper Lind, eventually played by Eva Green, but she was pregnant with daughter Shiloh Nouvel and had to withdraw.
There was much excitement at the thought of a Jolie - Craig reunion; they co-starred in the first Tomb Raider movie.
Jolie insists it’s still an ambition: “I’d love to be a Bond villain or the first female Bond.” And what a great female superspy she would make.
