(CBS) Don’t buy any wedding gifts for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just yet.
Online reports that the couple got married in New Orleans over the weekend are untrue, sources tell both People and Us Magazine.
Although the couple were in New Orleans two weeks ago, they have recently been in Austin where Pitt is filming the movie “Tree Of Life” with Sean Penn.
Over the weekend Star magazine reported that the couple exchanged wedding vows at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel.
“We talked to someone who was there,” Star editor-in-chief Candace Trunzo told the Daily News.
Angelina Jolie has dismissed rumors that she and beau Brad Pitt will soon be on diaper duty again.
Jolie laughed off rumors that she and Brad were expecting their second biological child, but is not ruling out adding to the family sometime in the future.
“No, there’s always a rumor but not at this moment. But at some point we will (have another child),” she told MTV News.
The couple are already parents to four kids - Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh.
Jolie adopted Maddox in March 2002 while still married to actor Billy Bob Thornton, however when the two split she got custody. She later revealed that Pitt had been the one to encourage her to adopt Zahara in July 2005.
After Pitt and she got together, the actor adopted both the children, and Jolie requested their names be officially changed to ‘Jolie-Pitt’ in January 2006.
Next came the couple’s first biological child Shiloh, who was born in Namibia in May 2006. Jolie then added a second son to the family by adopting Pax Thien in March this year.
Superstar and Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie’s brother, James Haven, is telling all about his famous sister’s relationship with Brad Pitt.
He even divulged how the super sexy actor has changed Jolie, all during an interview with a European newspaper.
“Brad is so strong for her. When she feels vulnerable, he has the most incredible strength,” Haven dished. “If it keeps going this way, they will be together for life.”
Angelina Jolie has revealed that she was inspired to get involved in charity work by the efforts of the late Princess Diana.
The actress has praised the work of the Princess in Angola and Bosnia, especially in regards to her help with the Red Cross campaign to eliminate landmines.
Jolie commented: “Diana inspired me immensely. I followed the work she undertook very closely, especially the issue of land mines. It was fascinating that she chose that cause.”
Speaking in the same week a memorial concert was held in honour of the princess, she added: “No matter what I do, I always want to go to refugee camps and meet with the most unfortunate. I have found it a privilege - a way of making me feel alive.”
A mob scene erupted in New York City Wednesday night as thousands of screaming fans begged for autographs from the world’s most beautiful couple – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The glamorous pair made their pit stop in the Big Apple for the big premiere of Angie’s emotional new drama, “A Mighty Heart,” and “Extra” has all the details from their big night.
All eyes were on Angelina – dressed to kill in black velvet – and you’ll never believe where this bargain girl got it from!
PRAGUE – Angelina Jolie popped up again in Prague, on the set of her new movie “Wanted.” Angelina looked sexy, chic and serious as she stepped out of a trailer. Jolie stars in the 2008 project alongside James McAvoy from “The Last King Of Scotland” in the crime drama.
If Angelina Jolie can wear a $26 evening gown, why can’t you?
When Angelina Jolie took to the red carpet earlier this month for the premiere of A Mighty Heart dressed in a black velvet dress that was subsequently revealed to have cost a big fat $26, women all over America found themselves wondering: Could I also get away with wearing a super-cheap dress to the fancy affairs I so resent wasting my hard-earned money on? Is there really a way I can avoid overspending for a silly frock I’ll wear only once?
Angelina Jolie is to bed Pierce Brosnan in her new film.
The stunning actress - who has a family with Brad Pitt - will star with the former Bond actor in the sequel to ‘The Thomas Crown Affair.’
In ‘The Topkapi Affair,’ Angelina and Pierce are set to get hot and steamy together in a number of racy sex scenes.
A source is quoted by Britain’s The Sun newspaper as saying, “Pierce is keen to turn the ‘Thomas Crown’ films into a long-running series of movies. He believes the Crown character has the potential to have the same appeal as Bond, especially with a beautiful leading lady like Angelina.”
Shooting on the movie will start in Egypt and Russia next year, after Angelina finishes filming ‘Wanted.’
Pierce, 54, is currently getting ready to start shooting the big screen version of hit musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ - based on the songs of Swedish pop group ABBA.
NEW YORK, NY (June 21, 2007) — Angelina Jolie talked about her continued efforts as a humanitarian and activist, and discovering her first adopted child, in a candid interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN last night.
Jolie’s dedication to humanitarian efforts has been staggering. She has campaigned for relief in the troubled regions of Cambodia, Darfur, Sri Lanka and many others; personally visiting the poverty-stricken locales and refugee camps. It was in Cambodia that she discovered a toddler, Maddox, who would become her first adopted child.
With all the tabloid headlines, her international baby-adopting jaunts and some awful films, Angelina Jolie’s acting skills have been overshadowed.
In the powerful based-on-true events “A Mighty Heart,” the Oscar-winning actress proves that — at least when she’s giving the right material — she’s a remarkable talent.
How good is Jolie in “A Mighty Heart”? A few minutes into the film, you get sucked into the story and forget you’re watching the star, not an easy accomplishment with all the baggage Jolie brings to the screen.
Angelina Jolie says the whole world feels like her “family.”
The actress feels a connection to people “around the world” and this sparked her decision to adopt three children.
When Angelina was asked if seeing displaced families in refugee camps inspired her to adopt, she said, “It might be part of the reason my kids are from some of those countries, and were on their own. I feel very close to children or people around the world and when I met my kids, they were, to me, extraordinary - and felt just like family. And that’s how I feel about the world and other people’s kids.”
HOLLYWOOD - Angelina Jolie was left floored by Brad Pitt soon after they first met, because she thought he’d be nothing more than a good guy she could race motorbikes with on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
The actress quickly fell in love with the Hollywood hunk, who was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, and she admits she still can’t believe he is “more man than any man” she’s ever met.
She tells style magazine Marie Claire, “I wouldn’t have, from a distance, said, ‘That’s a man who would be an amazing, dedicated father,’ or, ‘That’s a man who truly loves helping people or whom I’d love to talk politics with.’
“He’s a lot more than people assume he is.”
Jolie credits her partner for helping her overcome periodical dark moments in her life–just by listening to her.
She adds, “I’ve had that problem in my life, where if I get emotional, I tend to just go (and) sit by myself. But he is a great listener, and he has given me wonderful advice.”
Although Brad and Angie’s promise of help for the country in which Shiloh was born was considered to be a lie by many, the Namibian government has come out and said that not only has the money been delivered, but that it was in process for months
The money has already been transferred to the Red Cross.
Red Cross Acting Secretary General Shannon Shroeder said in a statement that the allegations were not true, and that international monetary and tax regulations had been responsible for holding up the promised assistance.
One of the main donations is a sum of N$2 million donated by the couple for the purchase of new equipment to upgrade the maternity sections of the Walvis Bay and Swakopmund State hospitals.
“The Namibia Red Cross signed an agreement with the American Red Cross (acting on behalf of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation) for a transfer of funds between the two National Societies.
Looks like some good news for Angie and Brad, as they’ll finally get to see the people of Namibia have better hospital conditions. I’m sure this will get MUCH less attention than when they were first accused of not intending to follow through with the aid they promised.
Angelina Jolie, and daughter, Zahara, 2, watched some of the Mardi Gras celebrations from the balcony of their house in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
You may remember that, a while back, Angelina Jolie came out saying that adoptive parents are more fit to raise their kids than biological parents. A new study published in the American Sociological Review appears to support her contention. The study found that adoptive parents spend more money on their kids, read to them more, are more likely to eat together, and even discuss their problems more.
“One of the reasons adoptive parents invest more is that they really want children, and they go to extraordinary means to have them,” says Indiana University sociologist Brian Powell, one of the study’s authors. “Adoptive parents face a culture where, to many other people, adoption is not real parenthood,” Powell added. “What they’re trying to do is compensate. … They recognize the barriers they face, and it sets the stage for them to be better parents.”
Adam Pertman, executive director of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, was appreciative of the study’s findings, but noted that “there are all sorts of families that are good for kids. Adoptive parents aren’t less good or better. They just bring different benefits to the table. In terms of how families are formed, it should be a level playing field.”
I think that parents — biological, adoptive, or any other sort — are the most important part of a child’s world. How they became parents, the struggles they faced, and any other facets of the parenting adventure are simply the flavors and spices that make each family unique. The important part — the meat and potatoes — is the love that families share.
As you might know, there has been a lack of news posted on the site. The reason for this is beacuse I refuse to post any of the horrible rumors and things people have been say about Angelina Jolie. Cant they ever give Angie a break!!! Well, ajolie.org will not post any news that is considered rude, unnecessary, and rumors! Let’s respect Angelina. Also,to the visitors, thanks for respecting Angie and this site.
Many pundits and celebrity watchers alike believed that the only reason that Angelina Jolie resided in the United States most of the time was because she couldn’t bear to be away from her mother for too long. With the passing of Marcheline Bertrand is there anything now keeping Angelina and the unmarried father of her children Brad Pitt and the rest of the family here in America?
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt to Move Out of the US?
Likely - no. Even though they just purchased a home in New Orleans Jolie may feel it is time that the globe-trotting United Nations loving couple pack up and leave permanently only returning for visits to Brad’s parents. A report from Star Pulse seems to suggest that the family is on their way out.
The news blog reports that Angelina and Brad have indeed taken a step closer to moving to Europe permanently by buying an apartment in Berlin, Germany. The couple has been regular visitors to the German capital and has now taken ownership of a luxury 6,500 square-foot attic flat in what used to be East Berlin, according to the German edition of Vanity Fair.
According to the report, Jolie, who already has homes in the U.S. and an apartment in Paris, France, with Pitt - wants her adopted children Maddox and Zahara and her biological daughter Shiloh to grow up outside the Hollywood bubble.
The report also notes that Pitt is good friends with German architects Lars Krueckeberg, Wolfram Putz and Thomas Willemeit, who designed his house in Los Angeles.
Hollywood’s highest-profile couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, have bought a luxury loft apartment in Berlin.
The couple have purchased a property near Alexanderplatz in the former East Berlin, the newly launched German edition of Vanity Fair magazine reported Wednesday.
Pitt and Jolie are frequent visitors to the German capital and have said they are planning to move to Europe because they do not want their children to grow up in Hollywood.
