Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have denied reports they’re about to split, while friends insist the media have mistaken a pre-nuptial agreement as a signal they’re separating. The couple and Jolie’s father Jon Voight have dismissed British tabloid reports they’re no longer together – rumours that have set the globe’s gossip websites alight. And insiders claim the story couldn’t be further from the truth – the couple have allegedly signed a mega-million equivalent of a pre-nuptial agreement, which will cement their relationship. A source tells Life & Style magazine, “Brad and Angelina had a meeting with a top law firm in L.A. in December, where they worked out terms of a legal document similar to a pre-nup. “The couple signed the document in early January. They agreed to share their money and assets and custody of their six children, all of whom would live with Angelina in the event of their parents’ break-up. “They didn’t talk to the lawyer about splitting, nor was that ever mentioned at the meeting. Brad and Angelina aren’t splitting right now.”
Angelina Jolie has created a touching video tribute to her late mother Marcheline Bertrand on the third anniversary of her death. The Tomb Raider star and her brother James Haven, Bertrand’s children with Jon Voight, have honoured their beloved mum by compiling home video footage shot during a family vacation in Hawaii in 1981. The clip, entitled To Mom With Love – James and Angelina, starts with the message: “One place Marcheline loved was Hawaii. She made many happy memories for her family there.” Bertrand can then be seen with James and a six-year-old Jolie, dancing hula on the beach and playing in their hotel room. The actress lost her battle with ovarian cancer on January 27, 2007 at the age of 56.
A voice coach who helped Angelina Jolie speak Russian in her latest thriller Salt has spoken out to deny rumours he had an affair with the Hollywood beauty. Dialect expert Howard Samuelsohn spent time with the superstar to perfect her Soviet accent for the new movie, in which she plays a Russian sleeper agent. But following speculation Jolie had a fling with her dialect coach during production, Samuelsohn has come forward to blast reports he bedded the beauty at New York hotel The Waldorf Astoria – insisting he is too “short and middle-aged” for Jolie to be interested in him. He tells RadarOnline.com, “I’m 5’6, I’m 51 years old, and I’ve never been to The Waldorf. I would like for someone to get the word out. (This) is total bulls**t.”
Angelina Jolie has been dismissed as the face of luxury label St. John – after bosses decided the famous actress was overshadowing the fashions she modelled. The tattooed Tomb Raider star signed up with the designer brand in 2005, replacing supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and has been featured in their ad campaigns ever since. Blonde beauty Kelly Gray, the daughter of the brand’s founders Robert and Marie Gray, previously posed for the upscale firm. But now top executive Glenn MCMahon has dropped Jolie – in favour of red-headed model Karen Elson for the spring campaign. MCMahon tells WWD.com that Jolie “overshadowed” the brand, adding, “We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette. We needed to show a modern point of view of St. John. We have evolved.”
Angelina Jolie has sparked doubts over the longevity of her relationship with Brad Pitt – by insisting a faithful union isn’t “absolutely essential for a relationship.” The Oscar-winner and her Hollywood hunk partner have been together for five years and share six children. But the actress insists that despite their commitment to each other, the pair don’t expect to be “chained together” forever. According to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, Jolie says, “Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other. “I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.” And Jolie admits their romance is often marred by furious arguments. She adds, “The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt. We’re not violent enough for these things, and we consider our six children.”
Angelina Jolie is happy that her adopted daughter Zahara, who is 4, now has a positive role model. Jolie has reportedly spoken out about how she is happy that Disney’s first black princess in The Princess and the Frog is a positive influence on her Ethiopian daughter. The animated feature is currently ruling the box office and is set in Jazz-Age era New Orleans. The tale centers around a beautiful princess named Tiana and a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again. A kiss leads the two on a fantastic adventure through the swamps of Louisiana. According to OK! magazine: “Angelina Jolie has spoken about how she’s ecstatic that her four-year-old daughter Zahara will have a role model thanks to the barrier being broken.” Tiana is voiced by actress Anika Noni Rose. Rose told Valerie Nome of Ok! magazine, “It’s wonderful. I think every little girl should be able to feel themselves the princess. I think every little girl is worthy of having a princely young man, and vice versa.” Rose went on to say, “It’s really thrilling that Zahara will never have a moment where she didn’t see herself in that light. She’s Ethiopian. She comes from kings and queens. She should certainly know herself as a princess.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have a new home in Oklahoma they haven’t spent a cent on.
The Hollywood couple’s five-year romance has inspired a new spread in Edmond, which is 50 miles (80.4 kilometers) from Pitt’s native Shawnee. The Brangelina estate will open to the public on December 16. Buyers must sign an “honorary ownership provision” which allows the celebrity couple lifetime access to visit the home, according to Life & Style magazine. The home is priced at $500,000 (£312,500) and features a life-size casting of Pitt and Jolie in the throes of passion in the master bedroom. Cory Allen, who represents the home’s artist Daniel Edwards, says, “It was installed to inspire the room’s occupants with love. The statues are embedded with crushed glass that contains Brad and Angie’s DNA, obtained from wineglasses they (reportedly) drank from while celebrating the anniversary of their first meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt enjoyed a romantic night out in Hollywood to celebrate their five-year anniversary as a couple – and the kids stayed at home. The superstars planned a military-style operation to make sure their low-key night at the Chateau Marmont stayed top secret – and they did such a good job that news of the November 28 rendezvous has only just leaked. A source at the famous Los Angeles hotel tells Life & Style magazine, “They checked in around 4pm and were ushered straight to their poolside bungalow. They were holding hands when they arrived, and Angie was really excited. “They looked like they were on a date. They had no security with them, and they were incredibly relaxed.” According to the insider, the evening was planned meticulously by Pitt, who insisted on dealing only with top-level hotel staff members to make sure the night wasn’t ruined by fans or photographers. The source adds, “They just wanted a quiet night by themselves.” The publication reports the couple left the hotel just before lunch the following day and tipped “generously”. The insider recalls, “They looked so happy. They’d obviously had a lovely night together.”
